Heart Intelligence
Heart intelligence is the name given to an emerging theory supported by a growing body of research. This research affirms what the poets have long said. It is the heart to which we look for guidance in our lives. The mind may develop elaborate understandings, but it is the heart that knows.
What the heart knows is that we are ok, that we have the capacity to live a life full of joy, characterized by kindness, and defined by service. Yet, to reconnect with a heart that has been overshadowed by a scientific and technological culture, we must learn to pay attention, and learn how to bring that deepened attention to that part of the heart that knows.
